Our Story

In 2022, we were a drone photogrammetry service freelancers, real clients, real projects, and a growing list of problems that no one in the industry seemed to be solving. Every project meant stitching together four different platforms just to get from raw capture to finished output, with no two tools talking to each other. Even when the data was processed cleanly, clients weren't left with answers, just point clouds and orthomosaics with no layer of intelligence on top. The tools capable of real analysis lived on someone else's cloud, which meant sending sensitive survey data, often for clients in defence, infrastructure, and government, to a third-party server.

And the software that did all this was priced for enterprises with procurement departments, not for a service business trying to stay sustainable. That pricing gap had a visible consequence: across India's drone and GIS industry, expensive workstations running pirated copies had become an open secret: unpatched, unsupported, and unpredictable, with no way to trace whether a bad output was a data issue, a hardware issue, or a cracked tool never meant to run that way. Underneath all of it sat the problem that frustrated us most: every critical tool in the stack was built abroad, licensed from abroad, and could be revoked or repriced from abroad. For a country with India's scale of infrastructure, agriculture, and disaster-response needs, the absence of a serious homegrown alternative felt like an inexcusable gap. So in 2023, we stopped waiting for someone else to close it.

An Aerospace Engineer with a Master's thesis from IIRS-ISRO specialising in UAVs and remote sensing. Author of 17+ research publications across IEEE, JOES, and PeerJ (CiteScore 14.7) that power CSIDMapper's technical foundations, including work published in JOES (Impact Factor 5.8) on Sentinel-1 SAR oil spill intelligence, and research presented at IEEE IGARSS 2021 and 2022 validating AI-powered remote sensing innovations globally.

What We Built

We set out to build a single, unified platform that handles data from RGB, LiDAR, SAR, Multispectral, and Hyperspectral sensors, whether captured by UAV or satellite, under one roof, with no software juggling and no dependency chain. The entire processing and analytics engine runs fully airgapped: on-premise, offline, sealed. The cloud's only role is visualisation; the intelligence itself never leaves the client's environment. The software also scales to the hardware it's running on, from an entry-level setup to a fully loaded processing rig, so it meets teams where they are rather than punishing smaller configurations. The goal from day one has been to automate 70–80% of a typical GIS and Remote Sensing workflow from our first release, not to replace the analyst, but to free them from days of manual grinding so they can focus on interpretation and judgment calls only a human can make. That's CSIDMapper: built out of a problem we lived through ourselves, for the industry we came from.
